We all deserve to heal in an environment where we feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed.
Through our space and practices, our team aims to create a accommodating environment for all. The following information can help you identify if our space is accessible to you, and better understand the accessibility accommodations we provide.
Accessible Location for Massage and Acupuncture in SE Portland

RituaLuna is on the ground floor in Portland’s Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood. There are no stairs or inclines inside or outside the building.
The nearest public parking lot sits one block north of our space, at Glenwood St & Milwaukie Ave. Otherwise, parking is street-only and typically limited, especially on the weekends. Sometimes spaces are available directly outside, while during busier times you may need to park one to three blocks away.
ADA Compliance in Our Massage and Acupuncture Treatment Rooms

We have two treatment rooms, each with different levels of accessibility:
West Room: Fully wheelchair-accessible, with an ADA-compliant bathroom adjoining. If you need this space, please note it on your intake form ahead of your appointment.
East Room: Suitable for clients using canes, crutches, or walkers. The doorway is narrower, which may not accommodate some wheelchairs.
Equipment and Tables
Our treatment tables are designed to support many bodies and needs. Each table is hydraulic, so your provider can adjust the height with the click of a button to make getting on and off easier. The tables are 32 inches wide and rated for at least 500 pounds, and can be widened with arm extenders.

We have a collection of bolsters available for bust, belly, or pregnancy support, as well as a large wedge pillow for semi-reclined positions.
Caregivers Welcome
Healing takes place in community. Trusted helpers, care partners, and interpreters are always welcome to accompany you during your session.
COVID-Conscious Massage and Acupuncture for Immunocompromised Communities
We appreciate the vulnerability inherent in seeking bodywork as an immunocompromised person. Our practitioners sanitize tables and equipment between every session. We operate on a policy of mutual comfort for masking: our team is happy to wear a mask on request, and may ask you to wear a mask too.
If you need to receive treatment in a room which has not recently had an unmasked person in it, let us know when booking your appointment and we can find a suitable time.
Health at Every Size (HAES)
Every body deserves respectful and nurturing care, especially when it comes to bodywork. In keeping with the tenets of the Health at Every Size (HAES) movement, we are honored to care for individuals of all body sizes. We recognize the trust that each client places in us as part of their care team, and we aim to help everyone feel welcome. See our equipment above for available accommodations.
Sensory Accommodations
We are happy to accommodate sensory needs such as reduced noise or fragrance. However, we are in an urban location, and sometimes especially loud outside noise is audible in the treatment rooms. If you have concerns, please make a note in your appointment booking and your provider can confirm that we fit your needs.
If you have any questions not answered here, or suggestions to increase access, reach out to our team at info@ritualunawellness.com. We look forward to welcoming you into our space.
