Because we are continually untangling from systems that are incoherent with our deeper rhythms, acupuncture and the other modalities Wilder offers help gently restore channels of communication in ways that simply help people feel better. Wilder considers it a miracle to do this work every day. Within the classical medical worldview, the paradigm of medical science is not subject to a Cartesian split between mysticism and rationalism; wonder, beauty, and magic coexist with the objective, material, and measurable. No single angle is more important—it is the balance of all ingredients that makes the meal. In this truly holistic practice, there is room for both right brain and left brain, for science and play, for information and mystery. Everything is held within this sacred container, and from this place of presence, each person can discover their role in the artful collaboration of parts that make them who they are. Wilder looks forward to being of service, to meeting each individual, and to exploring how this work can enrich their experience of life.

Meet Wilder.

Wilder graduated from NUNM in 2020 with a Doctorate in Science of Oriental Medicine, focusing on the translation of Classical Chinese Medical Texts and their application in contemporary clinical practice. Their doctoral capstone, “Beyond the Binary,” explored the potential of classical perspectives on the body to more fully acknowledge and work with the beautiful diversity of gender expressions and body types that exist in nature. This spectral way of understanding the human experience is a thread that runs through Wilder’s art, music, parenting, and life as a whole person. For Wilder, working with the grain of who we are is the essence of a medicine rooted in nourishing life. Rather than chasing symptoms or overly identifying with pathology, the medicine they practice is a creative, generative exploration—an excavation of the individual—and an invitation to align more deeply with what best serves a person’s wholeness. Their work centers on translating the information our nervous systems are constantly communicating on subtle levels—signals that grow louder and more painful when unheard.
