Momo Yamamoto LMT (OBMT #28144)

My practice is rooted in intentionality, reverence for the body, and holistic care. I offer clients a trauma-informed and non-judgmental space where they can come home to their bodies. My touch has been described as gentle, healing, magical, strong, and supportive.

In 2023, I attended The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy, where I completed a rigorous 660 hour program. I studied many different forms of bodywork in my time at school, including
deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point, craniosacral therapy, and Shiatsu. Soon after graduating, I learned more about abdominal massage from Leslie Stager.

Before I became a massage therapist, I worked as a birth doula. I was continually inspired bythe positive impact physical touch had on the birth experiences of my wonderful clients. When the on-call life was no longer sustainable for me, I decided to follow the call of bodywork. My background in doula care informs my massage practice every single day.

In addition to massage, I also offer reiki, which I initially learned from family members. In 2021, I officially received my attunements at the San Francisco Reiki Center. I absolutely love integrating reiki into my massages when my clients are open to it.

In my free time, I can be found singing, tending to my garden, baking legendary banana bread, swimming in the river, and making art of all kinds. I am originally from San Francisco, CA and I
now live in Portland with my partner, Sara and our dogs, Pepe and Kiki. I come from a long line of folk herbalists, so making plant medicine for my loved ones always brightens my spirit. In
everything I do, joy and softness are at the center.
